because Jesus said you can have what you say.

comes into your head, ask yourself “did that come from God or Satan?
- Fear is faith in the Enemy’s
ability.
- When we speak negatively we break
down what God may want to build up.
- Don’t keep the boat of your life
tied to tradition and past commitment. Push out into the deep – trust
the Holy Spirit. to keep you afloat
- You can’t have Isaiah 61:1 unless
you’ve had Isaiah 6:1 first.
- It’s not God all-matey but God
Almighty.
- I never pray for fellow believers
without first thanking God for them. If I cannot do that I feel it is

- Must be prepared to lose a battle
to win the war, providing
losing the battle doesn’t mean giving anyone a false impression of
God’s word.
- God hears no more than the
heart speaks of – if your
heart is mute, God is deaf.
- If God gives you something – use
it!

- If God is trying to change you –
let yourself be changed.
- Don’t fight with God – you might

- Some are called to Battle
(eg.David), some are called to Build. (eg.Solomon)
- There were many apparently good things
that could have been done that Jesus never did, because they were
outside the scope of the Father’ s Will for him . . .Jesus had not
come to do many good things –
but to do the will of the Father. Eg. He saw a lame man begging many
times, yet did not heal him. After Pentecost Peter and John brought
that man healing in God’s perfect time.
- Soulish Christians may labour hard
and sacrifice much, but the
clearer light of Eternity will reveal that they ‘toiled all night and
caught nothing’.
- Most patients go to Doctors, and
people go to church, looking for a way to continue living as they like
without suffering the consequences.
- We often wrestle against the very
things God sends to Bless us and, like Jacob, we’ve often tried to
throw away our Blessings.
- A good idea is not necessarily
God’s idea.
- Many people today don’t have
convictions – only opinions.
- Hold on to the truth of God – stay within the boundaries where
God’s love can reach you and bless you.
- When those in a church are mournful
and say they’ve found Life . .

- Many people are too busy for God

- Prayer – not saying prayers – but
prayer which originates in God and is the activity of His nature
laying hold of the implications of the cross and administering them – that
praying defies analysis.
- Your cross is where your will and
God’s Will cross. It’s the place you die. It’s the place you make the decision not to please

- It’s disastrous to grasp for a God
given inheritance by carnal means.

false.
- Instead of struggling with the
possibility of forgetting something – remember something else . . .

- The pathway to deception is to
refuse revelation
- God does not commission men not
filled with Holy Spirit to fight his Battles.
- Many of the Lord’s Eagles have been
influenced by the mood of the world and have assumed to the character
of doves.
- God does not want us to accept His
Will because we must, but because we may; not with resignation but with joy; not with
absence of murmur but with song of praise.
- God can be reckless with the
physical safety of his children because spiritual issues are more
important than security and prosperity.

So when He puts suffering and affliction into our hands we misread His

beasts.
- Why does God have to mediate His
disciplines through the clumsy and unsympathetic hands of those we
dislike and despise and whose authority and we resent?
- Christ’s mission was accomplished
because the discipline was accepted – daily dying characterized his
whole life.
- If any preaching doesn’t come back
to the Cornerstone - beware.
- God is not interested in what you
have achieved – only in whether or not you did His Will.
- Caleb was a gentile, and Joshua was
a Jew – So Jew and Gentile went into the Promised Land together
- God did not take a woman from man’s
feet for him to walk all over her; nor from his head so she could lord
it over him either; but from
his side, to walk alongside him to help him – from near his heart so
he’d love and cherish her as Christ loves the Church.
- Climbing the cliffs with Jesus
needs total reliance on Him,
as only He can see
where the foot holds are.
- The Word of God can be either
accepted or rejected – not debated.
- Love is the difference between a
hospital corridor and a sitting room.
- If we don’t like what we reap, we
must change what we sow.
- It’s often not what we say but how
we say it that’s important.
- The job of the preacher is to get
the congregation emotionally and intellectually involved with the Word
of God.
- No one can be neutral when
confronted by Jesus.

- Life for some people is to sow wild
oats during the week and then go to church on Sunday and pray for a
crop failure.
- Regret can be an appalling waste of
energy – you can’t build on it so acknowledge your Sin, accept
God’s goodness and get on with
living for His glory.
